BallistoProtecto Fabrics are based on a “Para-Aramid” fiber, which is a synthetic fiber with high tensile strength and modulus. They are comparable to Kevlar or Twaron.
BallistoProtecto resists temperatures up to 8,000 degrees F (426 degrees C).
Para-Aramid fibers are known for their high tensile strength-to-weight ratio, which is close to five times stronger than steel.
APPLICATIONS:
Military
- Bulletproof vests: Kevlar is a key component of bulletproof vests.
- Helmets: Kevlar is used in military helmets.
- Hand glows: Kevlar is used in military hand glows.
Aerospace
- Aircraft bodies: Kevlar is used in the bodies of aircraft.

- Tires: Kevlar is used to reinforce rubber in tires.
- Hoses: Kevlar is used to reinforce automotive hoses.
